Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Performance Phase Lead Coach to guide players aged 17-19 years in the final stage of their academy journey. This pivotal role involves implementing our “Possession with Intensity” philosophy at an advanced level, focusing on technical excellence at game speed, full tactical implementation of our game model, and preparing players for potential senior football opportunities while completing their holistic development as people.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Match Coaching

• Design and deliver sophisticated training sessions implementing our complete game model
• Develop technical excellence at match tempo with position-specific refinement
• Implement advanced Juego de Posición (Positional Play) concepts and principles
• Coach competitive matches with emphasis on applying our playing philosophy
• Create challenging environments that prepare players for senior football demands
• Provide specialized technical and tactical development for Elite package players
• Balance long-term development with appropriate performance expectations

Player Development & Assessment

• Implement comprehensive player development across all four pillars (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological)
• Conduct detailed player evaluations according to package schedules
• Create and manage advanced Individual Development Plans with pathway mapping
• Utilize sophisticated performance metrics and video analysis
• Identify players with potential for first team exposure or external opportunities
• Develop leadership qualities and psychological resilience
• Support transition preparation for post-academy pathways

Administrative & Communication

• Maintain comprehensive digital records in our academy management system
• Provide professional communication with players and parents
• Document advanced performance metrics and development progression
• Collaborate closely with Technical Director on player pathway opportunities
• Support talent progression to senior environments
• Organize competitive opportunities appropriate to performance level
• Utilize technology to maximize efficiency in administrative responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• CAF B License or equivalent coaching qualification (minimum)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience coaching youth players aged 16+
• Experience preparing youth players for senior football environments
• Advanced understanding of performance analysis and player development
• Track record of supporting player progression to higher levels
• Experience implementing sophisticated tactical systems with youth players
• Knowledge of talent identification and development at advanced youth levels
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Expert understanding of “Possession with Intensity” philosophy and application
• Comprehensive knowledge of Juego de Posición principles at advanced level
• Ability to develop technical excellence at match intensity
• Understanding of physical preparation for senior football demands
• Competence with advanced performance analysis and metrics
• Knowledge of senior football requirements and transition challenges
• Understanding of college/university and professional pathway options

Working Conditions

• Regular evening and weekend work required
• Based at The Goal Hub, Kitengela with travel for competitive matches and tournaments
• Expectation to attend senior team matches and training when appropriate
• Physical demands include active participation in high-intensity demonstrations
• Responsibility to work across all package levels within the Performance Phase
