ICCK Eagles FC Youth Academy represents the premier football development program in Kajiado County, offering a transformative experience that develops exceptional footballers and outstanding young people. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically astute Development Phase Lead Coach to guide players aged 13-16 years in this crucial formative period. This role involves implementing our comprehensive “Possession with Intensity” curriculum focusing on technical refinement under pressure, expanded tactical understanding, and introduction to our complete game model while supporting adolescent development both on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Match Coaching

• Design and deliver progressive training sessions following our academy curriculum
• Implement technical development with emphasis on execution under pressure
• Develop tactical understanding based on Juego de Posición (Positional Play) principles
• Coach weekend matches balancing development with competitive elements
• Create challenging learning environments that develop problem-solving abilities
• Provide position-specific coaching across defensive, midfield, and attacking roles
• Differentiate coaching across Basic, Premium, and Elite package players

Player Development & Assessment

• Implement our four-pillar development approach (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological)
• Conduct regular player evaluations according to package schedules
• Create and monitor comprehensive Individual Development Plans
• Balance technical excellence with tactical understanding in player development
• Incorporate video analysis for Premium and Elite package players
• Support holistic development during critical adolescent years
• Identify players for potential advancement to the Performance Phase

Administrative & Communication

• Maintain detailed digital records using our academy management system
• Provide professional communication with parents and players
• Document training, match performances, and individual development metrics
• Collaborate effectively with Academy coaches and Technical Director
• Support talent identification and progression pathways
• Organize and implement age-appropriate tournaments and events
• Use technology efficiently to streamline administrative responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• CAF B License or equivalent coaching qualification (minimum)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience coaching youth players aged 13-16
• Proven track record implementing structured development programs
• Experience with player evaluation and performance analysis
• Understanding of adolescent development principles
• Knowledge of position-specific technical and tactical requirements
• Experience using technology for player development (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of “Possession with Intensity” philosophy
• Advanced knowledge of Positional Play principles and application
• Ability to coach technical skills under progressive pressure conditions
• Understanding of physical and psychological development during adolescence
• Competence with video analysis and performance metrics systems
• Knowledge of talent identification and development indicators
• Understanding of game model implementation at youth level
